Prepare your surfaces for winter with cleaning and graffiti protection.

 

Did you know that graffiti protection makes it possible to remove graffiti even during winter? When surfaces are protected in advance, graffiti removal becomes easier, more environmentally friendly, and cost-effective. A graffiti protection layer prevents paint and water from penetrating the pores of the surface, making cleanup smoother and reducing the risk of frost damage – a common problem during cold months.

It’s time to prepare your customers' surfaces for winter to avoid costly and time-consuming damage. Graffiti-protected surfaces require milder graffiti removers and remain intact even at low temperatures.

Clean the surface before winter – even if you don’t apply graffiti protection!

Whether or not you plan to apply graffiti protection, it's important to clean the surfaces before winter. Dirt, algae, and contaminants can bind moisture, increasing the risk of frost damage and other issues when temperatures drop. Cleaning the surfaces now helps protect the material and extends the surface’s life.

We recommend BCS Soft Wash or BCS Afrodite+ for effective removal of algae, moss, and other organic growth on roofs and facades. These products are ideal for cleaning both painted and untreated surfaces, leaving them spotless and ready for winter.

Tips from Magnus:

  • Extended contact time: Allow the products more time to work for maximum effect.
  • Prevent frost damage: Ensure the surface doesn’t get damaged if water freezes.
  • Preheat the surface: Use hot water and high pressure to warm the surface before cleaning.

Our graffiti removers are effective even in cold weather. Keep in mind that it’s the surface temperature, not the air temperature, that matters. With proper preparation, winter graffiti removal can be safe and straightforward!
